Be active with your child!

Children have a lot of energy at this age!   Playing and being active is important for their growth and development. There is no specific recommendation for how much physical activity that children ages 3-5 should get, but they should play actively several times a day.  Here are some ideas for being active with your child!
  • Play hide and seek or hopscotch, while letting your child count!
  • Take a nature walk outside.
  • Set up an obstacle course inside the house.
  • Let your child pretend to be move like different animals like swimming like a fish,
walking like a crab, or galloping like a horse.
